Social and Behavioural Sciences Library
From 22 July until 2 August, both the Pieter de la Court Building and the library will be closed. During these weeks, the library collection is not accessible. Borrowed books can be returned at any of the other UBL library locations.
- Until Friday 12 July 16:00, the pick-up location Social and Behavioural Sciences Library can still be chosen from the catalogue
- From 15-19 July approximately, there will be locker system maintenance. Available items can be picked up from the library desk

The Social and Behavioural Sciences Library collection is shelved according to the Library of Congress Classification. Items can be fetched from the shelf, or requested using the catalogue for pick-up at a later time.
Part of the collection has been transferred to the University Library. These items can be requested using the catalogue.
Library access
To be able to visit the library, all visitors need to bring their valid and activated LU-Card.
Book lockers
All library materials requested for pick-up at the Social and Behavioural Sciences Library will be placed in book lockers. Books can be collected from the lockers using your LU-Card, during Pieter de la Court building opening hours.
Study places
Study places without computer can be used freely by all library account and LU-Card holders, outside of exam periods.
Computer workplaces and group study rooms are available for use by Leiden University students only, and need to be booked in advance. Several computers - marked with a white sticker - will be available for use by other visitors.
