Need a book or journal the library doesn’t own?
Leiden University staff, students and professors emeriti may fill out a purchase requests form, to suggest Leiden University Libraries (UBL) to buy books, journals, databases, videos, and other materials currently not held by the library.
Please let us know whether the material is mandatory course literature, and whether you prefer print or digital.
All requests will be reviewed by a subject librarian. Requests can be honoured when fitting the UBL collection policy and as long as budgets allow. It may take several weeks for new items to become available.
Interlibrary loan and document delivery
If an item is not available at the UBL, you can borrow materials directly from another library, or request a book loan or article through the UBL's interlibrary loan services.
