Leiden University students are welcome to book one of the 9 group study rooms in the UB, seating up to 6 or 8 people. The minimum occupancy is 3 students. All rooms are equipped with a smartboard. 

The rooms are locked. Please turn to the UB reception desk right before your reservation starts, to pick up the key and any accessories needed, such as a keyboard and mouse. The key will be handed over as soon as at least 3 occupants are present. By the time your reservation ends, please make sure to lock the room and return the key and other materials at the reception desk.

Extra group study rooms at the Learning Zone

The Learning Zone rooms, at the ground floor of the University Library, are used by library staff for educational purposes. At times, some of these rooms may be available for use as extra group rooms by Leiden University students. Depending on the room, they can seat up to 6 or 8 people; the minimum occupancy is 2.

Learning Zone rooms cannot be booked in advance. Please enquire at the reception desk about any free rooms for the day. The receptionist will also hand out the key.

Wijnhaven Library group rooms are equipped with a 55” touchscreen with built-in computer plus laptop connection. 

Wijnhaven Library group rooms are available to Leiden University students only, and can be booked at the Wijnhaven reception desk.
