LU-Card

To use library facilities and services, you need an activated LU-Card.

As a Leiden University student, you need a LU-Card to access our libraries. You can also use it to:

• Book a study place or collaboration room
• Borrow books
• Print, scan or copy

Please note: Your LU-Card is different from your student ID. You need to request and activate your LU-Card separately.

Running into problems with your LU-Card? Visit the LU-Card desk at the University Library. Make sure to bring a valid form of identification to the library (passport, ID card, Dutch driver’s license, or residence permit), otherwise we won’t be able to help you.
