For Data Horror Week we bring together multiple research data management communities. Data stewards from the Utrecht University for Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Utrecht) and Leiden University share the darker side of supporting researcher to manage their research data and what 'horrible research data management' looks for from their position.
What to expect
- Three panel members who work as data professionals at the Hogeschool Utrecht or Leiden University
- From them: Two truths and one lie. Each panellist shares data stewardship stories: what went wrong, what was learned and which resources helped.
- The guess: The audience guesses if the story is true or false.
- The reveal: A discussion of the real stories: what went wrong, what was learned, which resources helped.
- Open Q&A with the panel & organisers.

About the Connect & sessions
This event is part of the “Connect and …” series arranged by, and for, the Leiden University Research Data Management Community, on everything data management-related. The sessions take place every month at different days and times, so as to maximize access according to people’s different working hours, and are normally online. Topics and speakers are proposed by members of the Community. You can post a suggestion in the Community's MSTeams space, or write to datamanagement@library.leidenuniv.nl, if you have a topic you would like to discuss in a future meeting and the CDS team will help to make it happen.
