Interlibrary Loan renewed

Do you use our Interlibrary Loan Service to obtain books, chapters and/or articles from another library? From 28 January we will be moving on to a new application system.

What is going to change?
Do you wish to obtain a book, chapter or article from another library because the item you need is not held in the collection of the UBL? Previously you had to set up an ILL account and add credit to your account in advance. From 28 January things will be different.

You can then search WorldCat to find out if the item you need is available from a Dutch university library or from the National Library. You can apply for the item through you own personal ILL environment and collect the books you requested at your preferred location. Digital items will be sent to your  email box.

How much does it cost?
There are charges for borrowing books through the Interlibrary Loan Service. The costs are € 6.50 until 31 March 2019 and € 13.00 after that date. The costs for digital delivery are € 6.50 per chapter or article. You can pay for the books(s) you have borrowed when you collect the material. You will receive an invoice for copy requests.

Do you still have credit on your current ILL account?
If you are registered as an Interlibrary Loan borrower with a valid email address you will receive an email informing you how to have the amount refunded. Do you hold an account but have you not received an email? The Can't find it at UBL page will shortly tell you how to have the outstanding amount refunded.
