The CDS collaborates in projects with reseachers and other partners from inside and outside the university on the latest technological innovations, and by doing so it builds a digital environment in which researchers can freely explore new methods and techniques, and in which they can collaborate with other researchers, potentially from other disciplines.

Mediating Islam in the Digital Age (MIDA)

The Centre for Digital Scholarship will coordinate internships and workshops within the MIDA project about Open Science, FAIR data and Scholarly Communication in the Digital Age.



The ORCID-project stimulates and helps Leiden researchers to create an ORCID and to register this identifier in LUCRIS. By doing so, we increase the visibility and findability of their work.



UBL Helps with Open Access

Library staff collaborates in the project UBL Helps with Open Access with Leiden researchers to help them make their publications  Open Access.


Research Data Service Catalog

To guide researchers as to which services to use before, during and after their research project the Centre for Digital Scholarship has set up a Research Data Service Catalog.

The Taverne  amendment is an extension of Dutch copyright law that allows you to share your publication quickly and easily. In You share, we take care the Dutch universities cooperate in their effort to help reseachers make use of this possibility.
