Library services from 19 December onwards
At the press conference on 18 December, the Dutch government has announced additional corona measures. These measures will not affect Leiden University Libraries' (UBL) services.
Study places
- Study places will remain available for Leiden University students. The maximum seating capacity of 75 people still applies. Study places need to be reserved in advance
- All library locations will have several study places available for visitors to whom the library access restrictions do not apply
Borrowing and consultation
- Visitors holding a valid library account and LU-Card may borrow and return books at the UBL library locations
- Special Collections materials may be consulted in the Reading Room Special Collections
Corona guidelines
- Book a test if you have any coronavirus symptoms
- Always do the corona check before visiting the library
- Keep 1,5 metres distance whenever and wherever possible
- Inside the libraries, please keep to the indicated one-way walking routes
- The use of a face mask is mandatory
- The libraries offer hand sanitizer and table cleaning units for visitors to use
- Do a self-test twice a week, even when not showing any symptoms. University staff and students can order self-tests free of charge
- We recommend you get vaccinated against Covid-19
