During the first few weeks of the academic year, Leiden University Libraries extends a warm welcome to new students in the library. In the Get Started period between 9 September and 4 October activities will be organized in several library locations in Leiden and The Hague. Additionally, the Get Started team will assist new students in activating their LU-Card and library staff will be at the ready to answer questions about studying at the library and the use of our collections.
Starting 9 September, for two weeks, the Get Started team will help you activate your new LU-Card on Mondays through Thursdays between 12:00 and 16:00. You’ll need your LU-Card to enter the library, borrow books, and to use the printers in the library and at your faculty building. For more information on requesting and activating your LU-Card check out the Get Started site.
Take the opportunity to check out your new study spot! Borrow your first book at the University Library by going on a blind book date. Or enjoy a summery drink or a cup of coffee, while one of our professionals provides you with some basic information on the use of our facilities.
