Honours Class training by the Centre for Digital Scholarship
The Centre for Digital Scholarship contributes to the honours programme by delivering a lecture on Data Science & Life Science for the Data Science Honours Class (see https://studiegids.universiteitleiden.nl/en/courses/86355/data-science), and by grading student’s reports and student’s presentations based on this lecture. Different aspects of FAIR data, as well as different data science methods such as pathway analysis and network analysis for analyzing molecular data and different data science methods such as concept profile analysis and machine learning for analyzing data already available in the scientific literature and databases, are taught.
Honours Classes are part of the extracurricular honours programme that Leiden University offers its bachelor students. An Honours Class is a course of high quality that tackles complex scientific and social issues in an interdisciplinary manner." – see https://studiegids.universiteitleiden.nl/studies/6997/bachelor-honours-classes#tab-2
