Maximum number of Open Access articles appearing in Emerald journals reached
The Open Access agreement that has been concluded with Emerald publishers on behalf of the universities in the Netherlands is based on a maximum of 57 articles per year in the traditional journals and 14 for the Emerald Open Research platform.
Publishing Open Access articles in Emerald journals has been widely used this year. The agreed maximum number of articles has almost been reached. When the maximum number has been reached, articles that are accepted will unfortunately no longer be eligible for Open Access. As a result, accepted articles by corresponding authors associated with Dutch universities will not be published as Open Access through 31 December 2020, nor will these articles be published as Open Access after 1 January 2021. Articles that will be accepted on or after 1 January 2021 will again be published as Open Access at no cost to the author.
To get a voucher, you had to contact email@example.com. We still advise authors to get in touch with the library through firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then check if a voucher is still available and if not, we can discuss which alternatives are available to have your article published as Open Access.
Please contact us through email@example.com if you have any questions.
