Library book loans and renewals

Starting today, the regular UBL renewal and overdue policy once again applies.
For an overview of the library locations where books may be returned, please check our webpage on library services during the coronavirus situation. All returned items are quarantined for several days, before registering them off your account.
For any questions you might have regarding your current loans, please contact us by replying to any overdue notices you may receive, or use Ask a librarian.
Not received any emails from the library?
Recently, all borrowers have been sent several email notices regarding the automatic renewals and current loans. Please contact the library in case you have not received any notices at all.
For Leiden University students, and alumni graduated after August 2006: due to the recent uMail updates, uMail forwarding settings to personal mailboxes are no longer active. Please refer to the university's helpdesk portal for more info and a manual explaining the new uMail forwarding options.
